ನಾಯಕರ  ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ,ಸ್ವಜನ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ ಮತ್ತು ದೂರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ 

ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವ ದುರಂತ ಕತೆಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸ .

ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಭಾರತದ ಕತೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ .ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪವಾದ  ದಕ್ಷಿಣ 

ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ದ ನೆಲ್ಸನ್ ಮಂಡೇಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸೆನೆಗಲ್ ದೇಶದ ಲೆಪೋಲ್ದ್ ಸೆಡಾ 

ಸೇನ್ಗೊರ್  ರವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಎನ್ನ ಬಹುದು .

ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಭಾರತೀಯರು ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಕೆನ್ಯಾದ ಕತೆಯೂ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇದೆ .

 ಎಂಬ ಭ್ರಮೆ ಗೆ  ಈಡಾಗುವುದು, ಪ್ರಜಾಸತ್ತಾತ್ಮಕ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಬಗ್ಗು 

ಬಡಿಯುವುದು ಮತ್ತು  ತನ್ನ ನೆಲೆ ಭದ್ರ ಪಡಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ  ತನ್ನ ಕೆಳಗಿನ 

ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವುದು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನು 

ಸೆಟಯಿರ್ (ವಿಡಂಬನೆ ) ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿರುವ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ .ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ 

ಭಾರತ ,ಮಹಾಭಾರತ (ಏಕಲವ್ಯ),ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ , ,ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪದ್ಧತಿ 

ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಇದೆ.ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯ ಲೇಖಕ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿರುವ 

ಗಾದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನುಡಿ ಗಟ್ಟುಗಳ ಸರಮಾಲೆ .ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ 

ಸಂಧರ್ಬ್ಹೊಚಿತವಾಗಿ  ಗಾದೆಗಳು ಹರಿದು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ .

ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ಕೆಲವು ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ 

ಅಬುರಿರಿಯಾ ಎಂಬ ಕಾಲ್ಪನಿಕ ದೇಶ .ಅದರ ಅಧಿಪ ಇತರ  ದುರ್ಮೊಹ ಗಳೊಡನೆ 

ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಲೋಲ .ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ  ರೇಚಲ್ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವುದು ಹೀಗೆ .

I know you take the title Father of The Nation seriously, You know

that  i have not complained about all those women who make beds 

for  you ,no matter how many children you sire with them .But 

why school girls ? Are they not as young as the children you have 

fathered ?are they not really your children? You father them today 

and tomorrow turn them into wives?Have you no tears of concern 

for tomorrow ?ಇಷ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ  ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನೇ  ಗೃಹ ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿ  

ಇಡುತ್ತಾನೆ  ನಾಯಕ .ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದಲೇ ಕತೆ ಆರಂಭ .

ನಾಯಕನ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾರ್ಚಿಂಗ್ ಟು ಹೆವೆನ್ಸ್ ಎಂಬ 

ಕಟ್ಟಡ .ಇದಕ್ಕೆ  ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್ (ಓದಿ ವರ್ಲ್ಡ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ )ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ನ  ಅರ್ಥಿಕ ನೆರವು 

ಕೋರುತ್ತಾರೆ .ಯೋಜನೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಅದರ ನಿಯೋಜಿತ 

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೆ  ಲಂಚ ದ ಅರ್ಚನೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ .ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ನ 

ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು  ತಂಗಿರುವ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಬಳಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷುಕರ ಹಾವಳಿ .ಅದನ್ನು 

ಆಢಳಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗೆ  ಹೇಳುವ ರೀತಿ 

'These beggars are too much ,I don't know what should be done

of political parties but character of the person who personified

the head ,heart,arms and legs  of the state .There are no moral

limits that a ruler can use ,from lies to lives .bribes to blows

in order to ensure that his state is stable and his power is secure.But

if he could keep the state stable through sacrificing truth rather 

than lives.bending rather than breaking law ,sealing the lips of 

outspoken with endless trickeries  rather than tearing them with 

barbed-wire and hot wax ,if he could buy peace through 

grand deception rather than a vast display of armored vehicles in 

the streets ,which often gave his enemies material for propaganda

,it would be sweetest of victories.
